Strengthening Mental Health in Tuburan

On September 18, 2025, the Municipality of Tuburan and Americares Philippines officially sealed their partnership through the Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement on the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Program. Present during the activity were Hon. Christian Daniel B. Diamante, Municipal Mayor, and Hon. Louise Potencioso, SB Committee on Health, together with Dr. Carmina Jemma Faunillan, Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Chelsea Calano, Doctor to the Barrio, and the dedicated RHU staff. Representing Americares Philippines were Mr. Paul Gwyn L. Pagaran, Country Director, Ms. Julie Ann Samson, MHPSS Project Coordinator, and the Americares team.

This meaningful collaboration aims to empower and uplift the mental health and psychosocial well-being of the people of Tuburan through shared commitment, resources, and compassion. The event also featured the presentation of the Mental Health Situation in Tuburan, project orientation by Americares, the ceremonial MOA signing, a message of acceptance from Mayor Diamante, the handover of IEC materials, and a pledge of commitment to support mental health initiatives.
