The Municipality of Tuburan proudly marked a significant milestone as it was recognized as Best Program Partner (Local Government Unit Category) during the Gawad SULONG Regional Awards for Region VII. This prestigious recognition was awarded for Tuburan’s outstanding support and commitment in the successful implementation of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), which aims to empower communities and promote inclusive and sustainable development.

The awarding ceremony was held on January 21, 2026, at Waterworld Hotel Cebu in Mandaue City, and was attended by key officials and partner institutions across the region. The recognition reflects the Municipality’s effective collaboration with national agencies and its sustained efforts in delivering livelihood programs that directly benefit individuals, families, and community-based organizations in Tuburan.

This achievement is a testament to the strong leadership and collective efforts of the local government, led by Former Mayor Aljun Diamante, whose administration laid the groundwork for impactful livelihood initiatives, and Mayor Christian Daniel Diamante, who continues to strengthen and expand these programs.
