Orientation on Agri-Eco Tourism Program

It is the intent of LGU Tuburan to combine the aspects of sustainable development in the fields of agriculture, environmental protection, and resiliency in the local tourism industry through the AGRI-ECO TOURISM PROGRAM.

On March 26, 2024, an orientation was conducted at Tuburan Covered Court, attended by the barangay captains and purok leaders of the 54 barangays in the municipality.

With the leadership of our municipal mayor, Hon. Aljun Diamante, coined with the collective effort of the Department of Agriculture, Solid Waste Management, and Tourism, introduced holistic solutions that benefit both the environment and the livelihoods of our people.

Influenced by the great vision of our mayor to become a 100 percent organic municipality, agri-eco tourism banners organic farming, hitting three birds with one stone, targeting the aspects of food security, prosperity, and sustainability of our community.

In addition, this program firmly believes that citizens’ participation is the cornerstone of having a sustainable community. That’s why this program calls for the active engagement of every Tuburanon, specifically the youths, to work hand in hand and strengthen their existing Purok.

In this way, Tuburan is not only cultivating organic food but also nurturing a brighter future for generations to come.
