CIVIL REGISTRATION MONTH CELEBRATION
This year’s theme was focused on “Quality Civil Registration in Support to National Development.” To celebrate the month long event, a series of Mobile Registrations was conducted in various identified barangays, namely: Colonia, Feb. 15, with 33 registrants; Cogon, Feb. 18, with 32 registrants; and Putat, Feb. 22, with 58 registrants. To wind up the activity the last Mobile Registration was conducted at the Tuburan Covered Court on February 28, 2011, with 291 registrants.
TRAINING FOR LACATAN PRODUCTION
In order to improve farm production, specifically on banana cultivation, the Department of Agriculture of LGU Tuburan initiated a Training for Lakatan production, through the able leadership of Dr. Nancy Quirapandan, Provincial Lakatan Program Coordinator, DA, Cebu Province. On the other hand, in support to the project, Mrs. Anita D. Oblena, Supervising Agriculturist, DA Province, conducted the Training on Vermiculture, which is the production of organic fertilizer throught the action of earthworms.
The Training was attended by fifty-nine participants from the various barangays of the Municipality of Tuburan.
