Peace and Order
Unlike other tourist destination in the province of Cebu, Tuburan is safe because of the alert and expert peace and order staffs of the Local Government Unit (LGU). The peace and order situation in the Municipality is manageable. With the initiative of PNP in collaboration with the LGU upland information networking and linkages with barangay officials in the service to the community, as well as the beloved tourists of the municipality, the insurgency situation has slowly neutralized.
Philippine National Police
The Tuburan- Philippine National Police ( PNP ) Substation is run by a Municipal Police Inspector with 19 strong rank and files. Its strength is composed of 20 Uniformed Personnel, with no Civilian employees. The Force- Population ratio is One Policeman or every 3,048 inhabitants.

The Peace and Order situation in the Municipality is generally manageable. Some isolated incidents are attributed to unemployment, family economic crisis and drug related activities. Strengthening the upland barangay information networking and the good linkages with barangay officials in the service to the community-had slowly neutralized the insurgency situation.
Bureau of Fire Protection
Tuburan Fire Station has seven (7) informed personnel, headed by chief Fire Officer. The station has one unit of Isuzu Morita Fire Truck from the Provincial Government.
Five (5) fire hydrants are strategically located in the urban area. In front of the Municipal Hall; Tuburan Central School; near houses with light materials in Brgys. 1, 3 and 6.
In 2009, there were 4 cases of fire incidents responded, while in January to July 2010, there were 11 cases being recorded. Most incidences happened in February and during the fire prevention month of March.
