Tuburan’s Outreach Program Brings Services and Happiness Closer to the People

For the past few weeks, residents of Barangays Mag-alwa and Kabangkalan Tuburan have been reaping the benefits of the LGU Tuburan Season 13 Outreach Program, aptly tagged “bringing services and happiness closer to the people.”

This initiative, spearheaded by Mayor Aljun Diamante since 2011, has consistently been appreciated by the people of all 54 barangays in the Municipality of Tuburan. The program ensures that no one is left behind, as every Tuburanon deserves access to these public services.

The outreach program offers a wide range of benefits, including medical and dental services, as well as various government services for both children and adults.

Mayor Diamante’s administration has fostered strong collaboration with different national government agencies, who actively participate and support this unique government service.

Looking ahead, the upcoming Mayor of the Municipality, Christian Daniel “CD” Diamante, has already pledged his support for the program initiated by his father. He has promised to continue and enhance the program, making it even more meaningful for his constituents with the help of the people of Tuburan.

On November 8, 2024, the Municipality of Tuburan hosted a post-SONA activity, bringing vital updates from the State of the Nation Address to our community. Alongside this, essential services from various national government agencies (NGAs) were brought closer to Tuburanons, including assistance from NIA, LTO, NBI, DA, DENR, DOH, DTI, PAG-IBIG, DOST, and VISCOM.

Through this event, our local government is committed to making government services more accessible and ensuring that Tuburanons stay informed and supported in all aspects. Together, let’s keep building a stronger, more connected community!

Tuburan is so blessed to have been graced by the delegates coming from the different countries around the world who are vying for the prestigious crown of Mr. International 2024. Tuburanons were also delighted as they welcome the Philippine representative, Mr. Marvin Diamante who happens to have similar family name with our town mayor.

In a short span of time, they were entertained by performers as they were welcomed with colorful costumes and dances through the beat of the song Gem of the Midwest. They were enthralled by the stunning panoramic views at Tuburan 360 offering a perfect backdrop of nature’s beauty. They had also a chance to indulge the town’s rich culinary offerings and savored the soothing aroma of the local coffee.

To top off the experience, they enjoyed a warm cup of Tuburan Coffee, a true taste of the town’s hospitality. A memorable visit filled with breathtaking sights, delicious flavors and the warm spirit of Tuburan.

Successful Outreach Program Conducted in Barangay Colonia Tuburan, Cebu

Early today, November 5, 2024, Barangay Colonia Tuburan witnessed another successful outreach program, part of the ongoing weekly Public Service initiative that has been consistently providing various services to the Barangays of the Municipality of Tuburan every Tuesday since 2011. This initiative, known as the LGU Tuburan Season 13 Outreach Program, headed by Tuburan Mayor Aljun Diamante and aims to “Bring Services Closer to the People.”

The event was organized by local officials, including Tuburan Vice Mayor Danny Diamante and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan. Among the attendees were 3rd District Board Member Atty. Jimbo Borgonia, Tuburan Municipal Councilor Lorence Lagon, and Ms. Carissa Garcia, daughter of Cebu Provincial Governor Gwen Garcia and the 2nd Nominee of the Ako Bisaya Partylist.

Residents of Barangay Colonia benefited from a variety of services, including free medical services provided by RHU 1 under Dr. Carmina Gemma Faunilian, dental services from Dr. Godoy, and free medicine from LGU Tuburan. Additionally, Municipal Administrator Atty. Rodulfo Dacalos Jr. offered free legal services, along with other services from various departments of the Tuburan Local Government Unit.

Over 300 residents took advantage of these services, which were tailored to meet the needs of the constituents of Barangay Colonia Tuburan. In his welcome message, Barangay Captain and ABC President Kap Odie Diamante expressed gratitude to the leaders of Tuburan for their continued support of the Tuburanons since 2011, highlighting that the community continues to benefit from sincere public service.

Today, we celebrate another success that reflects the power of unity and compassion in serving our community.

With heartfelt gratitude, the Municipality of Tuburan received a new ambulance donated by the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Cebu, represented by Consul General Zhang Zhen.

This gift is more than a vehicle — it’s a lifeline, a promise of timely care, and a symbol of hope for Tuburan.
