2-day MDRRMC Seminar Workshop
In order to strengthen relevant knowledge and needed skills in times of calamities or disasters, a two- day seminar workshop on Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Committee (MDRRM) was held on June 21-22, 2012 at the Senior Citizens Building located at Brgy. 7, Tuburan, Cebu.
The seminar workshop was designed to enhance the preparedness of the designated personnel of the town tasked to give immediate services in times of calamities like typhoon, earthquake, fire, and flood. It also gave emphasis on damage assessment and needs analysis before, during, and after the disaster. In this way, disaster risk could be toned down and given proper solution. The attendees were given thorough lecture on how to respond to these kinds of emergency situations.
The two-day seminar workshop ended with an action planning activity followed by the presentation of output in preparation to future emergency rescue operations.
