(cont) Local Job Fair
The 3rd Saturday (May 19) of May 2012 was a Saturday of energy and promise of job oppurtunities. It was the day of the first local job fair. It was a busy day for all of us. Gates of the Tuburan Covered Court were opened at 8:00 o’clock in the morning to welcome all the applicants for the Job Fair.
Hon. Democrito M. Diamante graced the program by sharing his inspirational message to everyone. Mrs. Ma. Grace V. Diaz, (Chief, Provincial Head Office DOLE VII) also gave her impression on the activity thru a short speech. Mr. Julius Chua (PESO Manager of Provincial Capitol), DOLE-7 staff headed by Mrs. Diaz, and representatives from the Local Government Unit of Balamban, Asturias and Liloan are also present during the job fair.
A total of 261 applicants eagerly participated in the Activity. From the registration down to the selection of hired applicants, everyone was hopeful for the result. Out of the 261 applicants, 94 were hired on the spot (HOTS) and 50 were to wait for confirmation. Hopefully, the number would increase once the employers made the final interview on the rest of the applicants.

Everyone wrapped up at 5 in the afternoon and concluded the activity a successful one.
