Apart from the interview session, an on-site validation was also conducted. During the on-site activity, we were able to transparently show our genuine efforts to always and wholeheartedly implement good governance practices not only in papers but also on the ground. With this, we have been very lucky to be receiving all the positive feedback from our validators.
We congratulate everyone because our LGU has received a well-deserved recommendation from the national validators to be one of the potential recipients for the Seal of Good Local Governance Award.
At the end of the day, our success for this year’s SGLG validation is a testament to our collective commitment as responsible citizens of Tuburan.

The Tubod Festival made a powerful impact during their street dancing performance at Pasigarbo sa Sugbo 2024, captivating the streets of Cebu City with their vibrant display. Despite a light rain, which we saw as a blessing, our dedicated performers remained unwavering in their faith to Snr. San Antonio de Padua and danced with passion and devotion.
As the first contingent to take the stage this year, our Tubod performers exceeded all expectations, beautifully highlighting the rich aroma of Tuburan Coffee and the natural beauty of our municipality. The delegation, led by our esteemed Municipal Mayor, Hon. Democrito M. Diamante, brought a clear and heartfelt intention to the Pasigarbo stage.
Their performance wasn’t just a display of talent; it was a true testament to their deep devotion to our patron saint, Snr. San Antonio de Padua, and their love for our local Tuburanon coffee farmers. From this day forward, we proudly declare: KAPE SA TUBURAN, IKAPASIGARBO SA TIBUOK KALIBUTAN!

Mangrove Planting and Growing Activity at Barangay Daan Lungsod Tuburan Cebu
On the 6th of August, 2024, Municipality Tuburan had a Mangrove Planting and Growing Activity at Barangay Daan Lungsod Tuburan Cebu. Such an activity was characterized by the presence of LGU employees, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Tuburan Eagles Club, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Tuburan, different national government agencies (NGA), Philippine Coast Guard in Tuburan as well as Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary(PCGA) Tuburan.
The leadership of Honorable Democrito M. Diamante organized this activity to restore coastal protection, improve local biodiversity and promote community involvement in environmental stewardship. The cohesive effort from these diverse sets indicates a solid commitment on saving and improving the environment locally.

The night was truly special, attracting a large crowd of music enthusiasts from Tuburan and the neighboring towns. The atmosphere was electric as local bands and artists took the stage, delivering unforgettable performances that set the hype.
The excitement peaked when the much-anticipated Sponge Cola finally performed, leaving everyone in awe and ensuring the night was memorable for all. The band’s interaction with the audience added a personal touch, making the night even more memorable.
Indeed, this year’s fiesta was a KALAMPUSAN not just for Tuburanons, but for everyone who joined us in our nightly fiesta activities.

Tuburan’s Agri-Fishery Trade Fair 2024 Commences!
In celebration of Philippine Nutrition and Agriculturists Month, the Municipal Agriculture Office, in strong partnership with the Municipal Health Office, has organized an eight-day Agri-fishery trade fair at Rizal Park. This event is a testament to the municipality’s commitment to promoting a healthy diet for Tuburanons through fresh, nutritious, affordable fruits, veggies, and fish products from our local farmers and fishermen. It’s also an excellent opportunity to recognize and appreciate the tireless efforts of our local food producers in feeding the municipality and Cebuano.
The said trade fair was officially opened with a short program wherein Hon. Ray Matthew Laurel, the SB Councilor for Agriculture and Fishery, welcomed all guests and participants of the day’s event. Mr. Kent Marcial Catubis, the Municipal Agriculture Officer (MAO), acknowledged all the participants, guests, and invited contest judges before sharing the purpose of holding such an activity. Moreover, Vice-Mayor Danilo Diamante shares his words of inspiration and support to all participating farmers’ cooperatives and associations of the municipality. He emphasized the unwavering 101% support of Mayor Democrito ‘Aljun’ Diamante to all agricultural and fisheries programs and projects of the municipality, instilling confidence in the future of these vital sectors for the benefits and honor to fellow farmers and fishermen. Organic farming was also highlighted during the talks, especially, that the municipality envisions to be an Organic Municipality in the next five (5) years. Such farming system has been a crucial factor of achieving a safe and nutritious food, harm-free environment, and healthy Tuburanons.
Contests on the ‘Best Booth,’ ‘Pinaka-Contest (Biggest/largest farm and fishery produce),’ and the ‘Tilapia Cooking’ were also the highlights of yesterday’s event. Local farmers and fishermen exhibited their artistic side by beautifying their respective booths and showcasing their talents in cooking and innovating food products out of their farm produce.

Gov. Gwen Garcia and the Suroy -suroy Sugbo participants were warmly welcomed by our visionary leaders in Tuburan, headed by Hon. Democrito M. Diamante.
Everyone showed respect and patronage to Snr. San Antonio De Padua, who showered each one with guidance and safety all throughout the entire activity.
As they made their way to the second stop of their incredible journey, Tuburan did not disappoint. Visitors were enchanted by the stunning panoramic views at the 360 Views and Restaurant. Here, they indulged in an array of mouthwatering local delicacies, each dish lovingly prepared by the skilled hands of Tuburanons.
The highlight? It’s undoubtedly the chance to savor our very own home grown Tuburan Coffee. Its rich, aromatic flavor added an extra layer of enjoyment to our experience.
Our visitors were also captivated by a variety of performances from the talented Tuburanons, making the visit truly unforgettable.

LGU Tuburan Season 13 Outreach Program Benefits Residents in 2 Barangays
In the month of June, LGU Tuburan Season 13 Outreach Program, with the theme “Bringing Services Closer to the People,” has brought essential services to the residents of Barangay Siotes, and Barangay Antipolo Tuburan, Cebu. The program is under the leadership of Mayor Aljun Diamante and Vice mayor Danny Diamante, the driving force behind the municipality’s development and success.
On June 8, and 25, 2024, residents of the said Barangays had access to free medical and dental consultations, along with complimentary medicines. Additionally, they received free legal services from various departments of LGU Tuburan, including legal consultations and advice from the GMD law firm.
Law enforcement units such as the PNP, AFP, BFP, PCG, and BJMP were present to provide information dissemination and ensure the security of the event, further enhancing the residents’ overall experience.
This program, held weekly every Tuesday, aims to deliver genuine public services to all 54 barangays of Tuburan Municipality. It was initiated in 2011 and continues to thrive under the dedicated leadership of Mayor Aljun Diamante.

Niadtong petsa 21 ning buwan sa Mayo ang Barangay Kansi Tuburan, Cebu maoy nakatagamtam na usab sa libreng medical ug dental consultation ug libreng tambal alang sa mga nagpakunsolta. Sa samang pagpanerbisyo usab ang Barangay Mag-antoy Tuburan, Cebu, niadto lang petsa 28 sa Mayo maoy nakatilaw sa samang programa.
Gipasalamatan sa duha ka mga kapitan sa maong mga Barangay, Kansi ug Mag-antoy ang maong hiniusang pagpanerbisyo sa LGU Tuburan ug mga Law Enforcement Units nga tudo suporta niining inisyatiba ni Mayor Aljun Diamante ug Vice Mayor Danny Diamante nga nilungtad na sa sulod sa 13 katuig diin nagbalik-balik sa ilang Barangay aron sa pagpatuhop sa mga serbisyo de pang gobyerno.
Gawas sa medical ug dental consultation naa usab ang serbisyong legal sa mga ahensya sa gobyerno sama sa Comelec, PhilSys, Department of Agriculture ug uban pa.
Anaa usab ang libreng haircut ug hair color sa mga kasundalohan ug Allen’s Beauty Studio diin usa sa mga gidugokan sa katawhan. Libreng pa ice cream ug libreng pagkaon sa mga hamtong ug kabataan samtang sila gialagaran. Sa paniudto dungan ang tanan sa pagkaon sa grasya nga gibulig sa kahitas-an dungan sa pagpasalamat niini pinaagi sa pagsayaw sa mga talentadong kasundalohan dala ang imahe ni Senior Santo Niño.
Ang maong programa daw sama sa selebrasyon sa tanang Kalamboan ug Kalampusan nga naangkon karun sa maong Lungsod ubos sa liderato ni Mayor Aljun Diamante, diin sugod sa tuig 2010 hangtud ning kasamtangan hingpit nang nasakmit sa maong Lungsod ang temang “Tuburan The Spring Of Success”.
Orientation on the 4PH Program
Earlier today at the Tuburan Covered Court, employees from the Local Government Unit, DepEd, and various National Government Agencies gathered for the Orientation on the 4PH Program.
It was an insightful and productive session focused on community development and collaboration. We were graced by the presence of the staff from Eastland Property Ventures, Pag-ibig Fund, and DHSUD headed by Regional Director Atty. Lyndon Juntilla.
This program is through the initiative of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Democrito M. Diamante in his pursuit of providing Tuburanons a better quality of life.

Usa sa mga serbisyong gidugokan mao ang libreng hair make-up ni Mr. Allan Umandac sa Allen’s Beauty Studio nga naghimo sa libreng haircut and hair color ingon man ang libreng tupi sa 14th Civil Military Operation PA nipasundayag usab sila ug sayaw gikan sa mga talentadong kasundalohan.
Gawas sa libreng aroskaldo, dungan usab nga gisaw-an ang libreng paniudto nga maoy labing siguro sa tanang serbisyo nga gitanyag sa maong kalihokan.
